Well at least I hope it is and that it doesn't come winging it's way
back to me for more work.
Anyway here are a couple of the designs I have come up with.
This one is from a picture by Edward Bawden
called Home Sweet Home.
If you've never seen his work have a look.I love it.
There are 2 exhibitions of his work on at the moment.
One is in the Dulwich Picture Gallery, South London and
the second one is in The Fry Gallery in
Saffron Waldron, Essex which is the one I went to see last week.
I would love to show you the pictures these came from
but I'm not sure how I stand with copyright on here.
Anyway this was done but carving out my own stamp.
This design is taken from a Mural that Bawden did in
the 1950's for a new building in London.
This is a watercolour I did in Cornwall from
the sculptures of Barbara Hepworth.
So keep your fingers crossed that I pass this OK and can
move on to the next module.
Well if they don't pass you, they've got no taste!! These are incredibly well done and I love your colours too. Such a departure from my boring old knitting and crochet projects which I seem to have lost all inclination for. I think I need a new hobby. I've been thinking about pottery for a while now. You've given me the impetus to look into it, Gill.xx
ReplyDeleteOh yes Pottery sounds really good. Theres a lady in Norwich called Catherine Daniels who mixes ceramics and patchwork patterns which is really interesting.x
